Tuning cars in [SDU]

There has been a lot of tension when it comes to the issue of using mod shops like WAA, Transfender and Loco Lows in the server. I'm here to tell you that these shops will REMAIN OPEN, and we will not be making the server anti-tune.

Tuning is a big part of car modding, and fun for anyone who doesn't have car mods. Thus, we will not remove it. To avoid receiving Opcodes or having your game crash because you have a car mod installed, install your mod onto a car that cannot be tuned. I have provided a list of cars that you cannot mod to give you ideas where to install your car mods:

-Euros
-Feltzer
-Fortune
-Glendale
-Hermes
-Huntley
-Hustler

Wow, that's plenty of cars to install mods on. Please, use one of these cars if your mod is not tunable. Almost every sports car can be replaced, so why not use them?

We don't mean to upset you, but Tuning was a part of Default, and Singleplayer GTA:SA, so it will indefinitely remain.

P.S. Yohsuke, This isn't directed towards you, and I don't know why people keep saying that I have a grudge against you because of it. I do not. Sorry if it has seemed that way.

SA-MP 0.3c

Just today I was able to play SA-MP 0.3c R6, to see some of the newer features and gameplay. I'm here announcing that when 0.3c is fully released on the SA-MP home page, the [SDU] Server will be moving there.

You may ask, why?

The most important, and main reason for the switch over is 0.3c's ability to have custom mods as a server package. What we plan to do with this, is host a file on this website, with the files for EVERY single map mod ever made. You will then be able to download it, and play on any map you want to in-game. How does this work? SA-MP 0.3c allows the server to place the map objects wherever the host wants them. Meaning that instead of having to choose between playing on SAkina or Fantasy Hill, you can now move one of the 2 away from the default spot, so that you can use both. Also, there is no 'IMG overload', or conflict between files. Allowing you to have an unlimited amount of map mods loaded at the same time.

There are also many other personal customization features that you will all enjoy,
so please be patient, and hopefully not upset for the move to 0.3c later on in the year.

SA-MP Forums

It almost brought me to tears. It appears as tho the people on SAMP Forums are finally getting their **** straight when it comes to drift video's. Nobody wants another damn elegy video!

Almost every video posted on SAMP forums that is an elegy drift video is getting bashed (finally!). Please people, and it bugs me that the creators of these videos are from this community, please stop creating elegy drift video's. I can't stand to see another video with a Black or White Elegy using Nitrous, with a darkened screen edit from Sony Vegas with some other lame effects previously seen in...every video from GTA.

RedSuns regroupment & Clan expectancy

Alright, well as most of you know already, the [RS] clan was "Shut down" a while back; however Keisuke has so far suceeded in bringing back the clan, and removing the 'dead' status.

To the point of this point! - Having a clan like [RS], which had nearly 30 members, it should be in no way a disappointment if only 13 of them report back saying they would still like to be in the clan. I mean it. If your going to create a clan, then make sure you actually know the people that your letting in.

---History of a Mistake
When gaming clans were still something that were extremely hard to get into, the people who were denied access would start their own clans. When they did, they wanted other people to be able to join. So they would lower the expectations to their own skill level, and chances are, the skill level was pretty low, which is why they weren't allowed into that other clan. Of course, these new clans would have a lot more members when compared to the older clans. As years keep going past, the expectations for clans continue to go lower and lower, until the point where clans become nothing more than a completely random bunch of players who can all do 1 thing, even if they suck at it.

So what do those clans even represent? It would be almost the same if you weren't even in the clan, the only difference is that your name doesn't have initials infront of it. Completely pointless.

As for the [RS] clan, 30 members is way too much to have at once. You can't expect 30 members to stay long-term, when you probably only have 13 of them on MSN.

This is something that seriously needs to be changed. We need to raise the bar for clans. Do not just test them on their skill level. Test them on their personality, their dedication, their willingness to learn. If drifting isn't even something they enjoy doing every second day, then what is the point of having these people in your clan? Who cares if they are good at it, who cares if they make good video's. If you can compete, practice, learn, and have fun together, then that's the person you want in your clan.

Hello good people! I am extremely glad to announce today that me and Vertex have managed to create our very own unique server script for the newly acclaimed [SDU] SA-MP Drift Union, which is now hosted 24/7! All of this with the help of the one and fagly VaZ! :D

The Drift Community

This blog is long overdue.

This blog is created to act as a news center, info source, and central hub for the drift community present on SA-MP. Things such as Community video's and screenshots will be posted here on the blog with a small article for each. Also, one of the main features here will be a Blacklist, who in the eyes of the [TDSD] Team (A Team started before the era of SA-MP), will be filled with the names of drifters who are the most threatening, and have the most skill. The 'Drift Com' as we call it, will soon be getting a server to go along with this blog.

We hope to reunite the now broken community into becoming a major contender in SA-MP's popularity. We want to make YOU stand out from the crowd, and make all of us have a better place to play.
